We're Locals who Care
We care about Whangamatā — its people, its lifestyle, and its future. The Whangamatā Ratepayers Association exists to keep an eye on how our town is run, speak up when it matters, and make sure your voice is heard where decisions are made.

We Watch What Matters
We monitor how Whangamatā’s infrastructure, services, and amenities are developed and maintained — from roads and stormwater to parks and public spaces.

We Work With Others
We work closely with community groups and local authorities—like the Community Board, TCDC, and WRC—to proactively represent the interests of Whangamatā’s ratepayers and residents.

We Speak Up
When an issue affects Whangamatā, we act — making formal submissions, meeting with decision-makers, and holding public meetings to make sure your voice is heard.

Fair Rates for Whangamatā
We listen to what matters to locals, and we advocate for your rates to be spent wisely — in ways that reflect our community’s needs and priorities.

Stay Informed & Get Involved
We share regular updates through our website and newsletters, and we host public meetings where you can have your say.
Whether it’s stormwater, community facilities, or how your rates are used — your input helps shape Whangamatā’s future.
