Recycling is coming!
Whangamatā is preparing for a local solution that makes it easier to recycle, repair and reuse. A community-based recycling and repurpose centre will help protect our environment, support local people, and keep valuable resources in use for longer.
About Whangamata Resource Recovery Trust
The Resource Recovery Trust van is parked at the Port Road Sunday markets every weekend, between 10am-11am, ready to take these recyclables:
-
E-waste but no whiteware cords or cables
-
Liquid cardboard containers cut open and wiped clean
-
Plastic bottle tops off any bottles
-
Polystyrene pieces clean and without tape
Phone or text Helen 0272 865709 for any questions. Donations much appreciated to help transportation costs, especially for larger items.
